Probably the best pair of boots I have ever owned

As a contractor I am on my feet quite a bit. My only issue with this is that it was a bit pricy. I would have purchased them sooner and possibly 2 pairs if I had a promotion but none were offered. Awesome boots though and tough.

The insoles are really great

I have a painful bunion on my left foot so needed some extra wide hiking boots as I hike every day (M-F) with my dog walking business. I've been through several brands of boots and none ever really come in 4E width, usually just "Wide" and wide is sometimes not wide enough. So, the sanfransexy Ridgewoods are very roomy. I considered sending them back because of this, even with both the optional sole layers that are provided, but decided to keep them. Roominess is not too much of an issue with good hiking socks, but beware that they do tend to run pretty wide. Wore them in rain and mud and they are completely waterproof. The edge of the sole could do with more "teeth" to grip the ground better, but all in all, this is a good hiking boot. I'm giving four stars because I'm still experiencing pain from the bunion in these shoes and not sure why, so have moved the insole into another pair of trail running shoes and that is a magic combo for now. sanfransexy insoles are really excellent. Way better than Superfeet and actually more comfortable than the custom orthotics I have.
